ABOUT
The World Choral Championship is an annual choral competition between the winners of four worldwide choral competitions of exceptional artistic quality. It has been created in 2017 by the initiative of the International Choral festival Cracovia Cantans (Krakow, Poland), the Tokyo International Choir Competition (Tokyo, Japan), the Taipei International Choral Competition (Taipei, Taiwan), the Rimini International Choral Competition (Rimini, Italy). The artistic direction of the WCC is provided by renewed musicians and festival organizers like Ko Matsushita, Andrea Angelini, Johnny Ku and Maciej Przerwa. Be the best choir of the world!

It is a great honour for me and for the Rimini Choral Competition to be part of 'The World Choral Championship', a musical competition with a thousand human facets. After a tough selection of the best choirs participating in the circuit contests, finding here four wonderful choirs will be an opportunity for artistic, intellectual and emotional growth for everyone. I can't wait for all this to happen!
It is my utmost pleasure to be able to bring 'The World Choral Championship' together, along with my friends that I place definite trust upon. The aim of this alliance is not merely to define the top of the world, but rather to warmly bond the world together by choral music, to enhance exchange among people, and to unity the world by chorus through respecting and supporting the culture of each country and region. Welcome to this ring of activity for peace. We sincerely await your participation from the bottom of our heart.
I hope that the ‘The World Choral Championship’ will be not only the possibility to hear the best choirs of the world but also a great occasion to experience new trends in conducting and choral repertoire. I think that the annual championship will be a chance for other choirs and conductors to listen and learn from the best and hopefully motivate them to hard work to become a future World Choral Champion.
It is a great honor for me to take part in founding 'The World Choral Championship', an international alliance formed by outstanding organizations across the globe. I sincerely hope that this competition not only offers opportunities to showcase the best choirs of the world, but also provide infinite ways to promote diverse repertoire from different countries, to elevate choral workmanship for singers and conductors, and to encourage cultural exchange among people. I believe, through choral music, the world can be as one.
